Pause

Due to the high level of uncertainty, we have decided to pause Film Fest Zell. We made this decision far from easy. Since March 2020 we have been rolling out various plans for how we can organize a festival despite all the odds. In the end it didn’t work out. The decisive factors were, among other things, many uncertainties with regard to the implementation, considerable additional effort due to the new event regulations (which could not be budgeted), questions about the future development of travel options for filmmakers and much more. As a non-profit operation, organizing a festival is associated with financial risks that we will not take in this form.

Reset

Pushing the reset button, is for us an opportunity to rethink the festival from scratch. What makes Film Fest Zell special? What is important? What not? How can we better connect to our community? Who IS our community? If you would have creative ideas in regards, if you would like to help us preparing the next edition of Film Fest Zell, or are simply interested in the festival, just send us  a note.

We plan to be back in the future: with fresh ideas, new formats, a great atmosphere and many exciting encounters with filmmakers and film art. With talks, throwing popcorn and partying. Please be patient until the forward button appears in the menu. Because one day, it will be time to play!
